YJ's never got the standard 4.0L's like the XJ's did. Before that was the 4.2L which was named "High Torque." Really low in HP as Cody said. Non-HO 4.0L's were around 175Hp. The YJ's 4.0L's is rated at 180hp. XJ's were rated a little higher at around 187-190.
But the 4.2L "High Torque" has 210ft-lbs at like 2000RPM instead of 220 @ 3200(?)
It's mroe of a stump puller.
