93 YJ 4.0 what tranny?

I'm looking at a 93 YJ 4.0 with a 5 speed for parts. What tranny should that have? AX-15? If it is, can that be hooked to a dana 300?

The '93 5 speed will be an AX15 and yes you can bolt the D300 to it BUT you will need to do some machinework to the seal flange in the D300 input shaft. Also the output is on the wrong side for a YJ (ie the D300 output is on the passenger side). I assume you want to put all this into a YJ.

I bought the motor to swap into my 84 CJ7. I have a T5 in it now. Any opinions on whether it's worth it to make the AX-15 fit?
