93 doesn't start

my 93 YJ 2.5L with 100K miles is not starting up. The other day, I was leaving to work it started but started hesitating and would stall. During my 5 mile trip to work it stalled 8/9 times and would start back up after few seconds. But I had to get it towed because in the evening it wouldn't start.
So it when I try to crank it tries to start the engine but looks like the engine dies right away. FUel pump is working fine, I hear the sound everytime I key in. I also checked the knob(for attaching fuel presseure gauage) on injector rail by pressing it with a key, it squirts the fuel so pressure is good.
I noticed little oil in air filter and throttle body. It looks like there is slight leak from valve cover gasket and the oil is getting into intake. I tried clen the throttle by sparying MAF sensor cleaner, sure enough after few cranks, it fired up and died again. It would fire up but die again after wards. I also noticed the the rubber adapter craked on (the little pipe that runs from front of jeep on driver side of injector rail to throttle body).

It seems like if take the inatke out and clean it and throttle body it might work, and I have to fix the valave cover gasket as well.

What you guys would advise?

Thanks,

Damn..I got the same treatment for the most...here's my guess..I am starting to get a handle on the weak POS I brought home..same symptoms as yours...I'd be willing to bet you burped some oil up into the intake and sucked it into something important...go a head and clean out the intake...prolly help..in one of the rare instances I got to drive the Heep (tm) I flopped it into a muddy ditch and it acts like I slopped some oil up into the crankcase breather (which obviously needs replacing along with most of the other crap under my hood..did I say POS?)
and the heep died...naught to run again for more than a couple seconds...bet we have the same issue..

Problem I have is that the bloody thing is such a hack job, i don't really know what goes where...

Oh well. It was free.

But it has carpet. Communist plot. No jeep with that many lights on it has any right to carpet.

Oil in the intake could be bad rings as well. Too much blow by on the rings. You might want to run a compression test and see where your cylinders are at. Cleaning the throttle body makes sense but focus on the IAC. Also do the basic checks like fault codes and removing a plug and checking the spark. Use some starter fluid and see if it fires up every time you spray into the throttle. Check for a vacuum leak. That hose you are talking about sounds like the vacuum for the pressure regulator.
