92 YJ shuts off when in neutral

plz help !!!!

i have a jeep wrangler 92 5sp manual with 4.0

my jeep will turn off by it self i will be driving and i'm about to stop in a light and hit the clutch to go to neutral and it will shut off but only in neutral if i hit the clutch in gear it will stay on

does any body have a idea ???

Check the fault codes. Get underneath and check the wires that run along the shifter underneath. The have been several Jeepers who have had trapped wires for the fuel pump and VSS that short when the shifter was moved.

haha!!!

guess what is not doing it any more but i still what to check the codes and the cables going underneath
