92 YJ, no start

ok boys , I know your going to laugh, but I have never worked on a Jeep this new as my other is a 41, so be nice.

Here a few weeks ago the dog and a squirrel got into it under the hood and down the drive train and now, well, Jeep no start. If I Okie rig with a starter switch at the starter, she spins, but still wont start. I have started putting wires back together but have found that the wires to my VSS are chewed and I have no idea where they go or what they are for. I figure this might be the main problem , also , when I turn on the key I get no power it would seem to the fuel pump. Please any help would be great.
