91 YJ dies at stops

Ok, so the trans is now rebuilt but the speedo has now died and the Jeep is stalling out at stops. My question is, is there a speed sensor that provides input to the computer? I plan on fixing the speedo with a new gear provided that's the problem.

The speedo has a electrical connection on the side of the tcase for the speed output to the ecu. Your symptoms are exacty what happens when its disconnected or bad. The cable gives your cluster the speed.

What I really mean, before anybody jumps on me, is that I used the search function and could not find a clear answer. Does the speed sensor have anything to do with the Jeep stalling at stops?
