91 yj 4.0 ax-15 question

Sorry if this has been asked in anyway, but i just bought my 2nd yj the other day. Today was the first time driving it besides bringing her home. First, if im cruising in nuetral over 35 mph its fine, once it hits 35 theres like a vibration/grinding noise. When taking off its sometimes hard to get it in first and always hard to get into 2nd unless i shift at low rpms, and really quick. What would this be?

New Purchase? First things first, drain and replace ALL fluids.

Not sure about cruising in neutral?

Where is the vibration felt, entire vehicle, or just in shifter?

Yeah new purchase and i plan to friday. But not entire vehichle the shifter. Like gears arent disengaging type feel. I can hear it directly under me. Im draining the tranny tcase and changing my motor oil while im at it on friday. It did it all day today. But an hour ago on break i drove it around till it got to runningtemp and nothing happened. Im not sure what it is
