my dopey friend bought an 89 w/ 4cyl 5spd and a lot of little things wrong for ha ha ha 8500. so as long as every thing works (esp the a/c summer is coming) and passes inspection try offering 44 or 4500 for it.
besides 111k isn't bad my 87 has 140 hard miles on it. i wouldn't worry about a rebuild unless it's burning oil or knocking something bad like that . good luck .....
Sounds like a good deal. Don't worry about milage on a jeep. Condition is more important. Look it over good and grab it if it is really in such good rust free condition. My six cylinder has 180,000 and is going strong. The 4.0 is a good engine and you should have fuel injection on that which is also a plus. Good luck!
87 YJ, 4.2 5 speed, hardtop, Lardeo model, for the past ten years.
Agree with whats been said. Just take it for a test drive and have it looked at, at if theres nothing wrong, go for it.
Like Wilhem said, don't worry about a rebuild unless the 4.0s in really bad shape. Jeep engines are built strong and several last over 200,000 miles.
'91 YJ Mangler w/ too many mods...and yet not enough ;)

Is 111,000 miles really high? Should I even bother looking?
The owner says its rust free and he never took it off road. He is the second owner however.
How much does it cost to rebuild an engine?

I have a 91 Wrangler and it has 113000 miles. I have to keep the hoses cleaned out to prevent oil blow-by to a minimium. Runs good though. You should be good to 200,00 miles on the motor as stated.
