ok so heres the deal......ive got a 90 yj that had a 2.5 motor

we removed 4 cyld motor moved motor mounts got the 4.0 sitting in the engine bay.....and then the wiring

I have the 4.0 harness hooked up to the motor and seams to plug into my bulkhead wirng harness is that correct? or do I have to move pins?

alos the 4.0 harness goes into the bulkhead in the center but my old harness has the same set up but a different plug what can I do about that?

ill try to get some pics up soon

you'll probably have to move pins. get the factory service manual for the 90 and the 92. start figuring out what goes were.

do your research before you start. Its not that hard just time consuming. You need 5 wires to fire but you have a lot of duplicates between the two harnesses. You'll end up merging the 2 into 1.

I can email you a copy of the exel sheet I was working on if you want.

lots of info on google.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/5...l-swap-357865/

You need ignition to turn the jeep on
you need fuel pump relay active to turn your fuel pump on
you need the starter to turn the engine
you need battery to power everthing

I know that's 4. I Don't know where the 5 came from. :P

ok I got it started by adding 1 wire for the ignition and using starter fluid cuz im not getting fuel......I hot wired the fuel pump and it starts right up

on b4 it says for 2.5 only and says fuel relay and my old motor was a 2.5 do I add power there for the fuel pump?
