89 YJ AC Question

First, let me say that I am complete noob to jeeps. I just bought my first one last weekend. A 1989 Wrangler Sahara. Although there's quite a bit that I need to do to the jeep, I was wondering why the AC and heat completely seperate items. Is there a way that they can both be integrated into a single control like ACs in every other vehicle I've owned?

Sorry for the noob question.

In a simple answer, no they were designed seperately. Most people think the top down is all the AC they need...they again most people dont deal with Texas sun every day. Welcome to the forum.
