'88 4wd wont engage,
i was out driving around today at a construction site, and went to put it in 4wd, but the light didn't come on, and it didn't engage, im guessing it might be a problem with the vacuum disconnect, this happened once before and i found out the vacuum line came off the axle, so i put it back on but this time i didnt notice it off, i was also messing with some vacuum lines and might have unplugged it, where is it connected on the other end of the hose than the axle?

so i have checked the axle, and the vacuum line is still connected, and 4wd light wont turn on, and it still wont engage, but just a day before i made this thread it was still working just fine, is it obvious to see the vacuum line going to the t-case? could it possibly be something other than the vacuum disconnect?

Spray the vac lines from the source all the way down to the axle with water and watch for bubbles and listen for hisses and such. Could just have a leak some where on the line

where are the other lines? are they easy to spot? havent had a chance to thoroughly look underneath yet, i know the one to the axle is easy to see, just looking under the hood
