Everything you seek is here: http://www.ifsja.org/tech/figures/db.html

Now, as far as modification...you will need to put new spring perches on there at the very least. There are numerous threads on this swap. Just do some searching.

thanks for the quick reply but the link you posted had this right at the top.
Please note the following: The information in this database does NOT apply to anything other than the following rigs:

1962-1983 Wagoneer
1962-1988 Gladiator and J-trucks
1974-1983 Cherokee
1984-1992 Grand Wagoneer
It does NOT apply to the following, don't ask, these aren't covered at all on this web site:

1984-up Cherokee
1984-up Wagoneer
1993-up Grand Wagoneer
any Grand Cherokee

but i think i found my answer so correct me if i am wrong but the 86 wagoneer has dana 44 front and rear. i will need to move spring perches and possibly shock mounts, and their may or may not be steering issues?

Ah, I missed that it was just a straight waggy...not a Grand. My bad.

Is it a little Wagoneer like this?
xj86_wagoneer_2.jpg

If so, NO it will not have the 44's in it.

i dont know, the pic of the wagoneer is pretty poor. he has no idea what i am talking about when i asked him about the axels. i am going to take a look at it tomarrow and see. Just trying to front load myself with info but so far with the 86 it is hit or miss.
