Anyone know where to get this part:

Also the backing plates/dust shield?

Thanks.

Junkyard? 99 percent of exploders (ford explorers) have the ford 8.8 axles. Cant tell exactly whats in the picture. But if it specific to the axle you should be able to find it at your local junkyard.

Living in the rust belt makes it hard to get junkyard parts that are much better.

It's the parking break actuator and boot.

A few years ago you could get them from the dealer but they were stupid expensive.

I have those in my 8.8. When they get rusted up I just pop the pivot arm off, clean'm up on a wire wheel, grease it well and re-assemble them.
Been doing it for years.

Are you saying you don't use the boot?

These are on my parts list for my 8.8 swap...http://www.currieenterprises.com/ces...6.aspx?id=2321
Not cheap but worth it in the long run. You might want to contact Currie, they might have the just the parts you're looking for.

One step ahead of ya on this one. I called today and they get them pre-loaded. They don't sell just the parts. At $200 just for parking breaks, I can't do it.
