hi all! i need backing plates for my ford 8.8 axle out of a 99 explorer. wondering where to find them for the cheapest and highest quality. im sure im not theonly one haha! didn't know if they were something i could find at my local advance auto or if i had to look online elsewhere! Your best bet is a junkyard. They are a dime a dozen though you may have a time getting the rotor off if the parking brake shoes are holding it on.

I think they are nice to have but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I was building an 8.8. You can always put them on later if need be.

I have a jeep...and it is modified...I win.
