i am thinking of lifting my jeep 7" with a SOA kit from quadratec and running 35x12.5x15 under it. i was wondering if that would be to much for a jeep used equally on the trail and the pavement.

I think it'll look fine. My wife's SOA '93 YJ has 11.5" of lift total, including the tires which are 33X12.50's and look too small.

With 35's, you'll love it.

Trim the fenders, add some TJ flairs and slap on some 37's! Go Big or Go Home!

Your wife looks a little young, are you sure it's a legal marriage?

And to the OP, from what I've read, 5" of lift will clear 35"s, but that's just what I've heard.

2.5" old man emu springs, soa, 5/8" boomerang shackles on 37's.

and if you have to ask what is needed for a soa, you need to do a lot more homework IMHO.

My POJ has ~7.5" of SOA suspension lift & 1" BL (BL is so I could fit my tcase).

These are pics of my YJ ~3.5 years ago before the BL & tube fenders (on 35x12.50x15). I could easily stuff the tires into the stock flares.

After 1" BL & tube fenders. I think it looks about right knowing the tires still stuff ~1" from the tubes at full stuff. I like the width too.

thats waaaaayyy too much lift. I've got 33's on a stock suspension right now (lots of trimming) and i'm planning on doing 37's with about 3-3.5" of lift (1" body, 2.5 suspension). Get friendly with a sawzall and a grinder, and stay low.
