looks like mine. i'm just rebuilding the 4.0 for now. Would be interested in any hiccups you run into.

1991 YJ, rebuilt 4.0L in spring 2009 at 234,000 miles, no lift yet, slightly offset wheels, 235/75/15 tires for now, rag top, sold the hard top. Over 25,000 miles on the rebuild and counting.

Thanks guys! I can't promise it's going to happen fast, though I do hope so. My goal for today is to get the old motor mounts removed and the new ones in. Lots of measuring and thinking to do today......

Are you sticking with the stock injection or going the carb route?

I'll be switching it to a cable throttle, but otherwise stock efi. I haven't decided on who the wire harness is coming from yet. I would appreciate input on this! Positive and negative experience with harness companies

Mission accomplised for the day! Three times in and out and I was finally comfortable with the motor mount placement. They are welded in tight! I hope I got it right!
Tomorrow my goal will be to bolt the motor in, then modify the skidplate to fit.

I'll be following this too. I'm planning to go with a LS1, basically same engine you're putting in but a 5.7 liter when the 4 cyl goes.
