5/8" shackles and driveline...

So I have a 3.5" BDS with a "BL. I blew my driveshaft a while back and replaced it with a Tom Woods which I custom measured for(and a whole new exhaust). I purchased a set of 5/8" booms from BERSRK to clear the frame with the military wrap and have yet to install them. I know every Jeep is different so it may be tough to answer this question, but once I install the shackles, will the extra 5/8" in lift be a potential issue for the DS?

I dont think that would make enough of a difference to call for a new one

Did you do an SYE also? or are you running a TC drop? If you have an SYE I wouldn't think 5/8 would be a big deal, may have to adjust shims, if your not running an SYE going above 4" lift was problamatic for me the short time before I put on my SYE and new DS .

No, just 1" TC Drop. The measurement was taken for a new DS after the 4.5" were added...

Thats what I was thinking... or at least what I am hoping for. I would hate to create issues for myself since I lost not only my DS last time, but my entire exhaust as well as the shaft seperated and helicoptered.

All yjs are different that's for sure. I have a 4" rough country lift and did not need any TC drop or new shaft. I shimmed the rear angle and my driveshaft points from 11 to 5 o'clock with no issues.
