What transmission and transfercase do you plan to use? I want to swap a 5.3 and NV4500 into my YJ in the spring, so I'll definantly keep an eye out for your build up.
same harness' as for the 4.3, assuming tbi.
if its not, then painless should have what you need.
i used it, and it was worth every penny when you count the excellent customer service when you have an issue...
I have a Painless harness on my TPI motor because the factory harness was old and getting brittle and the connectors were showing their age. The newer Gen III motors are still new so I would save some cash and just use the factory harness since they're all still in good shape.
You can get a kickdown bracket and cable for the later motors. Throttle cable stays the same. If the motor came with Drive By Wire you can bolt on an LS1 throttle body to get the cable back. Hold on to the electronic throttle, pedal and module. I'll need them when I swap my TPI for an LS1.
