5.2 swap has begun

tomorrow Ill be cutting out the motor mounts and setting the 94 GC 5.2 w/4speed auto into place using novak mounts

haha good luck! ill be following this thread for sure, however i dont know if i could be of any assistance... i doubt it. lol. this should be awesome when its done. just dont hurry TO much.... you know how that goes.

oh yea Im not new to swaps this will be the 6th ive done Ive been preppeing everything for the last 2 months. have all the parts wiriing all done so barring the unforseen I think it will go fairly smoothly.

todays progress

Well after 13 hrs of non stop work the 5.2 is in, mounts welded trany mount fabed, cooling system in and filled fuel lines replaced and hooked up puter mounted and wiring half done. heres a few pics.

How did you drive it home with no engine? LOL

It doesn't look nasty... it looks awesome! How are you going to work on it once you get the body back on though? Looks like a tight fit.

actually theres lots of room around it. plus ive got tube fenders to build was thinking can make the inner wheel wells removabe if needed. lol

BTW, what transmission is that?

Ah okay... I can see now in that last pic... the brake master cylinder might cause you problems later. Tube fenders will help. I've always wondered about putting a V8 or a V10 in a Jeep... I think I'd swap to a diesel though.

Ive got a tube fender kit for front and rear waiting tell I change the front axle and suspension in a cpl weeks.. So It fired right up last night. sorry no new pics yet. Ive got shifter to do no remove clutch pedal shorten driveline reinstall fenders another busy day. But I should be driving it back to work tomorrow as planed
