Ok!

For the guys that have completed this swap can you look over my thoughts and point out anything that I may be missing.

Engine.....

Dakota Or Ram truck.

Trans Transfer case....

AX15 with NP231 and V8 Dakota Bellhousing. Also can use the Manual Dakota 4 wd Trans and transfer case as well.

Harness and ECU......

Manual ECU From Dakota and harness that matches the engine?

Mounts.....

Either Fab or buy.

Anything that I am missing? My platform is a 91 YJ 2.5 5 spd.

:2thumbsup:

You will want a v6 2 wheel drive Dakota bellhousing with the ax15 .....
And get rid of the weak dana 35 lol

The NV 3500; which was also used in 2000+ XJs and TJs. I'm pretty sure the consensus is it is stronger than the AX15. I'm not sure what is required to use the Ram transmission in a YJ, but the one from an XJ or TJ should be a really straight forward swap. Novak or Advance Adapters probably has the information

It was not as bad as I thought it would be. If you have good schematics it will go easy, you can't do it without them! I knew nothing about automotive wiring and I did it so I would assume anyone with will power and a pulse could do it.
