Yeah I hooked up the slave cylinder. And when I went to bleed it. Found it was junk the bleeder screw is leaking. So I have to get a new one of those. I hooked the computer up tryed to find a home for it. I think I am going to put it on the firewall under the steering shaft. Seems to be enought room there. I was going to work on the fuel pump but the slave put me in bad mood so I quit. A new slave is only 40 bucks but just sucks to have another set back. I am not giving up.

the 83 was teh last year for the mechanical linkage. in 84 some of the broncos and the trucks had a hydraulic setup. So the years for the bellhousing would range from 84-88.
just to let you know

I figured there were more years. I just went off what Advance Adapters told me. 87 is just a sure bet.

Ive decided that I am going to do this swap. I will have to wait till spring for nice weather so I can drive my car while Im working on the swap. I guess the main parts im going to need are the motor, ax15, 8.8 rear, and all the adapters. Im not sure what TC to use, maybe my stock NP231. I cant wait to see some more pics. Keep up the good work.

Oh also, flowmasters will sound awesome, but i think I may get some weld in straight through mufflers. I have this borla kit on my cobra that that has straight through muffs....it sounds really mean. Plus the mufflers are so tiny and lightweight compared to the flowmasters. I remeber on my old mustang, I had the flowmaster american thunder kit, the mufflers where so heavy that my stock exhaust hanger eventually cracked and broke off. But then again the borla kit that I have now is on a different motor, not a 5.0. Wonder what it would sound like on the 5.0?

It was easy. I bet if I had all the parts I could do it in weekend by myself. A good day with a buddy.

They say the 231 is plenty strong enough for the swap.

I still have some more parts I need. But I waiting till I have some more money. Xmas is kinda tapping me right now. Once I get this baby going I might sell it and build another one. It's kinda fun. I think next one will be a TJ though. I would like to try a XJ too.

When its all done you should post final pics, how it does on and off-road, final cost, and maybe some dimensions for those motor mounts?

They say the Ford is easier then Bowtie to drop in. I hear horror stories about people busting the dist. when putting a Chevy in. There is more room around the bellhousing with this motor then when I had the I6 in there.
Only reason Chevy is done more is cause there are more Chevy boys out there wanting Bowtie power.
It has gone alot faster then I thought it would.
I still need these things:
Upper radiator hose
Exhaust manifolds and pipe
New slave cylinder
Some fuel line

I still have a good day worth of work to do. I have just been working on it a little here and there.
