4wheel low, shifter pops out, help plz

Hello,
95 4cyl, 4 wheel dash light seems to work good in low & high.
My problem is 4 wheel low, I have to hold pressure on the shift knob for 4wheel low to work. It doesnt seem to pop in & stay in. When I hold pressure on the shift knob the 4 wheel works great! soon as I let pressure off the shift knob the 4 wheel pops out. I hope there is an easy fix to this??
I have no problem at all with 4 wheel high.
Thanks

Do you have a body lift or transfercase drop? You can probably adjust the shift linkage to make it work.

Adopt your pets. Don't shop for them.

all stock except for 31's.......
so will this take care of it?:

"Try adjusting the linkage. Down on the side of the T-Case drivers side is where the shifter goes in but you will see a small nbolt 10MM head on the linkage. Put in 2H which is all the way forward and check position and then 4L which is all the way back. Check again and see if the linkage can be moved to get the shifter furter back in 4L and then try iit and check it out.
