If you are going straight forward, it makes no sense. If you have the wheels turned it is normal. If you are on concrete and not dirt get off the hard surface or you will break something with the wheels turned.

Unless.. the gear ratios in the frt and rear diffs are different.

That's what he said but it's really the only thing that will do that. At 50 MPH all 4 tires are doing 50 with no drag. In 4wd with the frt axle disco'd a lower geared frt diff will still be ok as long as it's not locked. The passenger shaft will be spinning at the slower speed. Once you engage the Posi Lock it'd be like opening a parachute. Untill the diff blows apart!

no the front and rear are the same...stock...
now...when i put the tcase in 4wd...its fine and the front shaft spins...with out the posiloc activated...
now if i put it in 2wd and activate the posiloc...its fine
now with both the posiloc activated and it in 4wd....no go
it comes to a complete stop and its very hard to get moving with the wheels straight....what gives? could it just be an adjustment with the posipoc? i just installed that so....could that sliding coupler that connects the axle shafts not be all the way over...i dont get it!

First off does the posilok engage fully? If it did work OK before the tranny/t-case tansplant then it should not be the problem now since it wasn't touched. If you exclude fron axle problems, maybe your front dshaft is binding when it has an engaged axle tied to it.
I would get it up on four jack stands and run it through the same scenarios you have problems with now. See if it works without any load on the drive train. You may have a bad U joint binding under load. Did you have a t-case lowering kit in it and did not install it again??

i installed the posiloc with the tranny so i did not know if it worked or not...could it not be fully engaging? but when i just activate the posi loc and leave it in 2wd the shaft spins like its connected but i have no trouble...

It almost sounds like your front and rear axles are geared differently. Why did you swap the trans and x-fer case? Did you just get the jeep? Has 4x4 worked from when you bought it? Are you sure the front axle was engaged at a previous time? Maybe the front diff exploded?
As suggested earlier, get it up on a lift and see what happens. Lock the front axle and spin it by hand, count the turns and do the same in the rear.
You could check gears by holding one tire still, if you have a locker or a good working LSD you don't need to hold one tire from spinning. Rotate the tire 2 full turns and count how many times the driveshaft spins. Do the same to the other axle. You should be able to get a ballpark number to make sure its geared the same.

could it be my front driveshaft? it has a lot of play at the greese joint...could that be failing once i put a load on it? cause when i jacked up everything...it spins ok with the axel locked and when i put it in 4wd it spins the rear as well....so im wondering if the front ds is shot? could that be a possibility....

when i lock the posi lock and put into 4wd...a lot of drag gets put on and then once stopped its very hard to work the clutch to get moving and the tires kinda skip like the shaft starts and then stops...and it also pulls to the passanger side.....its the stock front and rear end so i dought that the po changed the gearing....because the 4wd did not work before i got it because of the dissconnect pump. what do you think is going on?

It could be many possibilities. You need to start ruling things out as suggested earlier.
I'm curious as to why you replaced the tranny and transfer case. This might help us rule something out or not. The more info you can provide the better understand we have being miles away.

also never assume the PO knew what he was doing. Do you know for sure the PO didn't swap out an axle with another stocker with different gears? Maybe he blew up the xfer case, disconnected the '?pump?' and sold it being a minor thing? You need to dive in head first and verify the simple things.
