4wd

I'm sure this was probably asked before, but i couldnt find it. I am new to the YJ been dealing with CJ for years. I am starting to think cold and snow and want to chek to see the 4wd is working. The dash light does not work, Is there a way to test the circuit? where does it get activatied from... the axle or tcase?

There is a good explanation of the 4wd system in the FAQ at the top of the YJ Technical Forum page.

The light is activated by a vacuum switch on the firewall under the battery. If you follow the vacuum line form the axle you will find it.
