Do you have any type of performance clutch package? Heavy duty pressure plate? May just be the slaves are on the shelf to long and the seals inside them are crap. Ide try another brand from another supplier.

neither....

but you know the two hard lines coming out of it? Well all 3 times I got slaves the metal hard lines that come with them in the box are bent wrong. They are not bent right to go to the hole in the bell housing. Its like there are supposed to be 2 holes in my bell housing or NAPA has the wrong part So the first 2 times I just used my old hardlines, the 3rd time when I let a firestone shop do it... they told me they had the same issue and used the old hardlines.

maybe my AX-15 is from something else? or its not an AX-15 but similar? not sure what it is. Perhaps when you use the old hardlines they dont seal because the new slaves have a slightly different design?

this is what I am leaning towards

Switch it over to an external slave (search, there are lots of threads). Then when it fails at least it is a much smaller problem.

If you decide to stay with the internal slave, make sure the lines are bent correctly and you don't have to remove them for any reason. I have been told by an experienced Jeep builder that if you ever have to remove the metal lines, they will leak.
Buy one with the correctly bent lines - the bleeder tube on top, the pressure tube on bottom - and they should both be shaped to fit through the opening in your bellhousing. If they aren't right, it's not the right part.

I wonder what my chances of stopping that leak are

According to the FSM for a 93 wrangler; the hydraulic lines should never be disconnected except at the quick disconnect fitting. I have attached a link to the online fsm. Hope this helps.

A Rancher told me that back home he can drive his Jeep all day and not get off his own property; I said "I've got a Jeep like that too"!

With the slave still in the housing? 0%
I'd have to call him to find out if there is any other solution than buying the right cylinder.
I can do that if you like.

Start gathering the parts and convert it to an external slave.

Anyone make a kit? I would rather pay than piece it together.

Not that I am aware of, keep an eye on ebay for the bell housing, the other stuff can be bought new.
