4 Wheel Drive Light

What would cause the 4 wheel drive light to stay on. The Jeep appears to shift into and out of 4 wheel drive just fine. Year is 1995.

Check the 4wd switch.

What year do you have? There are 2 different setups.

your switch is at the axle disconnect motor housing. I would start with checking the vacuum hoses and make sure the disconnect is actually working, chances are it's not
