4.OL hook up to my 88
I want to put a 4.OL in my 88 wrangler. Will the 4L bolt up to my Peugeot trans. I currently have the 258 carb.

I know you prolly don't want to hear this, but you'd be muuuuch better off getting rid of your tranny and going to at least an ax15.

I agree with Rayray, the peugeot trans is the worst on the market. hehehee. Don't spend money working around it. Another option is to put a 4.0 head on your 4.2(I have info on how to do this if you want it). Then you can slap in a fuel injection and be set to go(You can also install fuel injection on your 4.2. This is assuming that your 4.2 is worth saving.

No, the 4.0L will not simply bolt up to the Peugeot. I'm not even sure if Advanced makes an adapter for that tranny since, they too have little confidence in it.

Gong! Boy that osburn guys sure has his head up his *** sometimes. Hey, this swap works. I was thinking, well, let's just say I screwed up and put out bad info.

A fellow named Eric pointed out my error. From now on, don't listen to a word I say. Just pretend to be listening so you don't hurt my feelings though ok?
