4 Cyl stalls ouot on inclines

My 95 YJ 4 cyl wants to stall and bog down on steep grades. Other guys I know have 4 cyl engines and they crawl right up slope, but mine wants to give out. Any help is greatly appreciated !!!

I dont have an answer but am also curious. As mine is getting worse, to the same issue. I am having to constantly go to 4low for areas I should easily use 4high, or even 2wheel. Stock tire size. Rebuilt some of the engine 2k miles ago(128k total).

I had the the same issue with my 2.5 once. When I was on incline or slow idle speed 4x4ing it would want to stall. If I kept the rpms up, no problems. It turned out that I had a small leak in the fuel line near the tank. As long as fuel was flowing well it ran great. I assume it was pulling air in at times or losing fuel pressure. I found it by chance when looking under the jeep. Fixed the leak and didn't have anymore problems.

I was going to say that it had to be a fuel issue, either clogged filter or leak. Heck a carb will take more angle than that ha ha.
