4.0L temp, lift question, clutch question, and who rebuilds 4.0's?

Just got a YJ a few days ago, 181,000 miles.

1.) What temp on the stock temp gauge do your 4.0L's run at?

I've got a suspicion that there is no thermostat in the YJ that I just bought a few days ago. But then the oil pressure gauge is pegged, so it could just be a sending unit problem as well.

2.) I'm considering a Rough Country lift kit for a soft-riding, cheap 2.5 to 3" lift, and will take suggestions (I do not want a body lift). I have read a lot of posts on them, but haven't nailed it down.

3.) Shifts ... ok, but does 'grind' into reverse or first sometimes, even from a dead stop.

Clutch pedal seems to also work at a little bit of an angle.

4.) My motor runs great, but does burn some oil. For my future reference, who is the most trusted long-block 4.0 motor rebuilder for just a stock build?
