4.0 swap temp gauge help

Hey guys,

Finished up my 4.0 swap just working out a few of the final bugs. I'm looking for some ideas on where to relocate the temp sensor. I had a 92 2.5 with the sensor in the head swapped to a 99 4.0. I found a post where it was relocated to the heater core hoses which I did but not getting much of a reading out of it. I think the gauge is to far from the water. Thanks.

The sensor for the temp gauge is still on the head, drivers side close to the firewall. The temp sensor for the computer is out on the neck by the thermostat.
