4.0 HO Ignition upgrade

Hey guys, just a quick question for someone who knows what they're doing, Im looking at upgrading my ignition/coil and I came accross this 1

http://www.quadratec.com/products/17610_102.htm

my question aside from if you think its a good choice is that about half way down the description it links to a coil

(this coil)
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17610_200.htm

My jeep is a 1995 and the coil displayed says is compatable with 1987-1990 YJs, any clue as to why or if thats even true and if so what kind of coil upgrade do you suggest

Thanks!

Seems like a lot of money for just a coil.

I just installed one of these last week and very happy, so far. Idles better and able to rev about 500 rpm higher without changing anything else. I still have stock carter carb (hopefull not much longer)

I have no direct experience with 4.0, since I have 4.2 but that's my 2 cents.

thanks for the input, I also thought it seemed like a lot for a coil, but I figured with the new ignition the stock coil may not be able to handle it? Just seeing if anyone thought this coil had anything to offer above other aftermarket coils and if its even compatable for 95YJ

I would stick to high performance engines on that type of coil. You aren't going to see a lot of a performance hike with the stock 4.0. I thought of that as well, and after some research, realized it wasn't for me.

livewires or something like that seems to be the "best" ignition upgrade i've seen first hand on a 4.0

i think quadratec sells their system.... it's just a coil and wires perhaps? i forget..... i wouldn't waste my money on the msd box though....
