4.0 exhaust manifold
Can you use a 4.0 exhaust manifold ( header) on a 4.2 engine or are they a totally different head ?

Different head. But, you can drop a 4.0 head on the 258 block for a pretty good upgrade, so I hear.

The elevation of the ports in relation to the dowels and bolt holes changed as well as the size of the ports.
