I just want my Jeep back on the road. I am not to familiar with tbi injection. We have this carb on our mud truck and it runs like a champ! I just wasn't up to messing with the fuel injection.

If i can't get what i want for the injection i may just put it on the shelf and if i ever turn it into a trail rig maybe try to mess with it again if the carb becomes problematic. But i don't see it being a pure trial rig for a long time

No ur right it doesn't very much but we have climbed with it and it didn't cut out. Maybe a custom tuned chip would have fixed it but maybe it wouldn't have then i would be out a couple hundred bucks for the custom tune and still not have it fixed. With the carb i know i can make it run right. also my Jeep is not a dd it is about a 90% cruiser 10% Wheeler so if the carb works for 5 years before i have to switch to fuel injection that is fine with me.

Dude! It only been less then 2 months!. And its not your DD? Whats the rush?.
That motor and computer do not want you to change it over to a carb set up

Its a fine tuned machine being ran by the computer. You just had some tweaking and diagnosis to figure out.
Do not sell the EFI !!

carb all the way

Im totally with u on the carb thing. I just droped a 360 in my yj and was planning on running a efi with it intell I saw all the wires, then a ran lol. I ended up using a 600 cfm carb and so far has worked great! Even on hill clims and so on. The way I see it if it starts giving me problems I may try using one of those truck avenger carbs. Iv been told lots of good things about those!

What if you have problems with the carb set up? Are you going to diag it or run away?

The ECU in the EFI system does all the correcting for you. If its not right it can in most cases tell you what that is. If not simple diag procedures should get you there.

No matter how much u guys say it the tbi isn't going back on it right now. All my stuff came from summit today so I'm gonna start putting the carb stuff on in about an hour. And about the only carb i have ever had problems with was one that sat for 12 years.

Hey Tyler, you said you got both the D-shafts done for $200? I just need my rear done and the best I have found so far is $250. Whats the name of the place I would like to give them a call. Maybe them shipping it would still be cheaper than my quotes I have received.
