The tbi trucks don't have a return nipple on the water pump for the heater core, it was originally in the radiator. Since this rad doesn't have that and i didn't want to buy another water pump,i had to tie the return in somewhere

well filled her with coolant tonight and ran it for a while. the thing is WAY overfueling!!! i took the tbi off and backed the regulator off the whole way and it is still overfueling. i may have to buy a regulator and put on the frame rail to get the pressure down. i dont think the factory reg in the tbi can get rid of the fuel fast enough. i had the headers almost glowing at an idle and it was throwing blue flames out alot.. my tach is reading about 1k high so i have to figure that mess out, i also rigged up a temporary shifter. it is a 1/2 extension which fit almost perfect over the tower. i also put a socket on for a "knob" but i flipped it upside down after the pic. im soposed to have my fan shroud on monday and will be rigging up my slave cyl hose tomorrow( hopefully)

HEI fits the same as a regular distro. I bit the bullet and bought an MSD billet. No complaints from my heep. Feel free to send me your TBI setup!

The center valve cover bolts are different on your heads. On the carbed manifolds and heads the 4 intake bolts go perpendicular to the ground not the heads like the outer 4 are. You can make it work, just FYI though.

I know about the 4 center bolts (thanks anyway) if i do go this route i will put a man off craigslist and modify it. I'm not spending almost $200 for the right manifold. And i no the hei goes in the same, i only have about an inch behind my small cap. I have an old hei at the house i would test fit first. And i would take all the tbi stuff and shove it in a cabinet in the garage.

Yup, this guy might be interested for the right price. Hell, I probably would have straight traded my carb/intake for your TBI setup

ok guys the tbi setup includes everything. all the engine sensors(not the vss) i just rebuilt the tbi. includes:
distributor, tbi unit, all sensors, basically brand new wiring harness, ecm, coil. prob more things that im forgetting.
i will include the manifold but if i do this, i will need something for shipping since it weighs a little.
for the people interested pm me what price u are thinking. i have a price i would like tho.

Your pulling the TBI because of why? You just need to diagnose your issue and fix it. Maybe have the ECU flashed.

Why anyone moves from modern fuel injection to dark age technology in a carb is beyond me.

To me it sounds like an intake leak.
