33" or 32" on a YJ stock

Now I've been reading a lot of threads about how anything more than 31"s will not fit on a YJ without a lift, but as you can see in teh pic I have 31s (I know theyre worn, which is why I ask the question), but it seems like i could go much bigger without a problem? or am I missing something

Not doing this on stock suspension and 33s...

You can do it if your into modifying the body on your perfectly good yj. Highlined front tube fenders and modified rear fenders and tub and you can fit much larger tires. What are the goals? 33s will be at the limits of your dana 35 depending on your wheeling style.

90 YJ 102 in wb stretch, SOA, dana 60, 14 bolt welded,4.56s, 37in Parnelli jones dirt grips, currie twin stick dana 300, york oba, tractor link traction bar, full custom armor, poison spyder tube fenders, 95Cherokee High Output 4.0
2014 JKU, modified Rubicon Rails, RC stubby with warn 8000m, 2" leveling springs and OME trim spacers, Superchips Flashcal, Spidertrax wheel spacers, rubi shocks, and Lots more mods soon!!!

It's also not a 1998 TJ. Can you fill out your profile a bit more, so we can offer constructive advice?

if you need more verification you're lifted check out your front spring shackles. see how they are vertical; looks like a 2" lift give or take.

might be able to run skinny 33s. but they'll rub.

Yeah, I opted for that response as the more polite way to be dismissive to a nonconstructive comment.

I was thinking 32's to be safe too. Thx

Im mostly doing it due to relocating for work and I will be in a lot of rough terrain for work. I was thinking about modifying the fenders and fabricating oversized flat metal ones with my buddy that also has a YJ as well. My next jeep will probably by a TJ (Like my previous one) and not worry about leafsprings
