3 Inch Body Lift Removal

Planning on taking off a 3" body lift and replacing it with the Jks 1.25" body lift this weekend. Going to start spraying them with PB blaster today, is there anything I should keep a eye out for when lowering the Jeep almost 2 inches?

radiator fan shroud will need relocating
make sure steering shaft collapses
make sure not to crush wires or hoses

why not cut your 3" pucks in half and get two free BL kits?

just follow the steps in your instructions... replace with your spacers as you go...

X2.. especially about the steering shaft. They usually rust up and won't move.

Watch your brake lines...

is the JKS kit all new mounts? or just spacers to add to the existing stock mounts? I think its just additional spacers...(problem if you dont have the oe anymore dropping the 3")

I know the daystar kit is stand alone and replaces the OE mounts.

look at their pics.

Remove and cut the 3" down by 2" or get the daystar kit, UNLESS you still have all the stock mounts and parts in decent shape.

My first body lift was with a set of pucks like that. After wasting that money, I bought a set of Daystars to replace them. I wish I had gotten the Daystars to begin with.

It's just the spacers which are 1.25", all my factory body mounts are still in great shape.

Thanks everyone for all the ideas of what to watch for, and cutting the 3" BL is a good idea. I already have the JKS BL just waiting to install.

Anyone know if it is bad to use a breaker bar to get the BL bolts out? I dont have a impact and I was reading alot of people say that is the way to go.

I'm going to be doing the same thing in a month or two, when I have the time to actually start working on my Jeep. PO started to put a 3" BL in it, but never finished so it has half of them and a couple bolts he could never get out. Already started hitting it with Kroil once a week until I start the work

I've got the long red tube on the end of nozzle and have drilled a couple small holes in the floorboard to put that through. I'm going to be doing some work to the floor anyway so a couple 1/4" holes will be easy to repair once the BL repair is finished.
