3" body lift on 95 YJ??????

I want to know if anybody has put a body lift on their YJ without any other mods. How is the ride? I want to put 33s on will the 3" body lift be enough?

The ride is the same pretty much. I put 32's on mine. I guess you could fit 33's...but you wouldn't have any room to flex...it would be like having 31's stock. But 32's look good.

When I use to just have the 3in body...32's fit nicely.

The big question is: How much articulation did you have?

Im running a 3 inch suspension lift, and my 33's rub. I can imagine a 3 inch body lift would work alone. Body lifts are for a last resort to me. I think its better to lift the suspension. Your ground clearance will be the same with a body lift. Nothing more embarassing than having big a$$ tires and getting hung up on a tree branch or rock

If anyone where to ask me what kind of lift to go with body or suspension...I would definitly tell them suspension...for obvious reasons. But if you were to run a 3" body...and wanted some kind of flex...I would go with the 32's and disconnects. You'll be suprised what you can do...you won't have very much ground clearance...but if you don't have any money....its a good choice.

I don't have a susspension lift or anything else for that matter. I'm just getting started. Don't have a lot of money right now, but what money i do have is going for tires, rims, a new top, and from the looks of your replies, a body or suspension lift. I was curios if any mods would be needed with the body lift, for example the shifters, will they still have full range? I appreciate any help again!! thanks

get 31" tires and 2.5 suspension lift to start with. add a 1" BL later. big body lifts look ugly.
plus, it would be better to replace the stock springs anyway. with 3" BL, you'll be able to fit 32"s comfortable, but it wont' flex at all. Suspension lift is the way to go
