2WD a no go

Hello all I can not shift to 2wd? the only thing I can think of is I fixed my vacum motor to stay ingaged at all times can this be it? oh yea it is a 90YJ thanks for your help!!

The vacuum motor does not put your jeep into either 2 or 4wd. All it does is lock the inner and outer axles on the passenger side. Your shifter engages/disengages the transfer case.
