2000 magnum mating to np435

I've been searching the Internet didnt find much and emailed Novak asking about my 2000 dodge 360 and mating it to a np435, he said he doesn't really deal with dodge power plants, what I'm asking is can it be done and what clutch flywheel etc is needed
Thanks

Sorry, don't have the answer myself, but I think Advance might have more options available for engine/tranny combos and adapting to your YJ than Novak

A number of years ago I planned a similar swap but life got in the way and I still haven't done it yet.

This is what I have put together

5.9/ 360 300hp Mopar Magnum Crate engine (ended up not getting the engine and its no longer available in the 300hp version)

1988 NP 435 out of a Dodge W150 with bellhousing and clutch fork, also got the slave and master clutch cylinders which are one piece with the line that goes between them. Note that part of the bellhousing will need to be modified to allow the CPS to be installed.

5.2 out of a 1995 Dodge Dakota for all the EFI parts and wiring

5.9 Magnum truck flywheel, the 1988 pressure plate will bolt to it. Gotta use the 5.9 Magnum flywheel as the 5.9 is externally balanced and is setup for the Crankcase Position Sensor.

Picked up a 5.9 magnum short block that I planned to use instead of the crate motor.

Picked up a Advance Adapters Ford NP 435 to Dana 300 adapter kit. Need to drill 2 holes in the Dodge case to mount. Turns out I dont need this since the NP435 I have will bolt to the NP231 and I only need to change out the Input gear in the 231. It was sometime in the 80's that the tailshaft was changed as my old 79 W150 has the old tailshaft.

Since then Advance Adapters has come out with motor mounts that I will be using, Don't have the part number offhand but they are on a shelf in the garage.

I am probably going to do this in the spring as the 4 banger in my 89 is pretty tired and I need to have something to drive while my TJ gets overhauled this summer. I am probably going to use the 5.2 engine instead and save the 5.9 short block for later. I also have a 5.2 flywheel.

do you think i would be able to keep the yj master clutch cylinder. the clutch would be from the van as well?
when you say that you will need to modify the bellhousing for the CPS do you know what you have to modify or is there a write up about this somewhere?
another question do most np435's out of the dodges fit that new of the 360, i was reading on novak that they were used in dodge trucks from 1962 to 1993 was wondering if the bolt pattern is the same for my 2000
thanks

Dont know about using the YJ master. The slave I got off the 88 had the master and the line attached to it and there was no way to separate without cutting the line. I hope to adapt to the YJ firewall.

Looking at the 5.2 and the bellhousing it appears that I have to grind away some material on the bell. The CPS is bolted to the block on the 5.2 Napa Shows the same CPS for the 5.2 and 5.9 for my 95 engine Looking at the service manual for my 2000 truck it looks the same for the 2000.

The transmission to block bolt pattern is the same on all mopar small blocks from the original 318 in the 50's to the new Gen III Hemi.
