OME bushing question...

I have 2 questions:

1) Will RC spring bushing fit the 36R OME springs? I have some RC bushings laying around, so do I need to order some OME ones, or are they the same size?

2) Who sells the 36R OME springs? I have only been able to find them on Quadratec. Is there a cheaper place to find them?

They're $98.99 a piece (+ shipping) on Qtec.

I found some on polyperformance.com but it's telling me "there are no shipping methods available".

I wouldthink the bushings would fit, the eye holes are the same, as I used the same hanger bolts from my stockers to my OME ones..... soooo...?? Im guessing but I go with yes....

I got my OME thru my GM stealership where I work, they got them thru Western Warehouse in Vancouver, wht I found is most dont list them, but alot of bigger auto parts places, sell them... ask...

Canadian light truck in Surrey sell the mas well, dont help you in CT, but ask your local popular offroad shop

Thanks. I'm not too worried about the diameter on the bolt side. But the RC springs have a different size on each end. The pictures of the OME bushing kits kind of look like they are the same size. But I can't tell for sure.

They are NOT the same price as RC. The RC kit is $450 for everything needed... plus some stuff that you don't really need. OME is $400 for just the springs. Then add another $100 for the bushing kit if you buy it from them, or stilla t least $60 to get a more generic bushing kit. Then add another $350 for the shocks. Then find or make a T-case drop kit. You'll want a drop pitman arm if you're running them with longer shackles... You can see that even piecing it togeter going with OME will cost you much more than going with the RC kit.

Just springs, bushing and shocks alone will cost about twice as much as going with the whole RC kit. If I would have had the money up front I would have gone with something other than RC, but you really can't beat the price.

NO THEY ARE NOT.... ONE END IS BIGGER.... This much I member, the shackle end is smaller the frame hanger end is bigger.

Thanks. Sounds like my RC bushings and sleeves might work then. There shouldn't be much difference in the bushings right?

People have done what you are doing without any problems. Just obviously make sure they are greased well. I personally don't see anything wrong with using different bushings long as the bushing diameters are correct, if that's what you want to do.

I think I'll give it a try then. If the eye holes are different sizes then I bet they made them to the same specs.
