2.8L - 2.5L AX5 Bolt Pattern

Do the AX5 bell housings from a 1986 Jeep Cherokee 2.8L and a 1992
Jeep YJ 2.5L have the same bolt pattern? I found an AX5 from an 86
Cherokee and want to put it in my 2.5L YJ.

Thanks,

John

dont bother with the ax5.. find an ax15 or change bell housings if you insist that you need to change it.

I know how week the AX5 is but this one has been rebuilt and is selling for
200. A rebuild kit is 150 alone. To buy the dodge bell housing and camaro
clutch plate along with the external slave and clutch fork is not the route
I want to go for now. I just want a quick direct swap to get me on the road
for now. I'm looking for a 4.0L jeep for a build but want to get my 2.5 back
on the road as cheap as possible. My syncros are grinding in 2nd and 3rd. I
have already tried syncromesh. I'm turning my 2.5L into a street jeep to get
me to work and back only.

I just want to know if the bolt patterns are the same?

It seems like they both have the GM 60 degree GM motor to bell
housing bolt pattern and the same bell housing to ax5 bolt pattern.
