2.5L Fuel Injector Upgrade

Well... It seems to be that time, whether I want it to be or not. I replaced a freeze/core/expansion plug and left my Jeep in pieces for 5 weeks while working in another state. Now... I don't know how... but I have lost a fuel injector... in my own driveway. Gone. MIA. Invisibility cloaked. Packed up and headed out to explore on its own.

As a consolation price, I did find the clip in the driveway.

So, has anyone had any luck with the Ford injector upgrade? I can find some posts with mixed reactions from 6 or 7 years ago, but nothing recent. What injectors is everyone else using?

You'll find it... next spring.

I've read about Neon injectors too.

I bought 4 19# Bosch Ford injectors from another member on here. He bought a V8 kit, so he split them with me. He only paid $70 for the kit, I got the other 4 for $35 plus shipping. I gotta say that it did improve the power a little. I haven't had to draft a semi, when I'm head up the mountains fully loaded, in some time.

I did save the old ones as spares. If you need one, you can have it.

I got a set of six bosch four hole injectors off ebay for like $60. They were used, but in like new condition. Part number came back as being off a 2008 Volvo. Easy change out without a hitch. Fires right up and smoother idle.

Since you mentioned the freeze plug, I was going to suggest "nows the time to install a block heater".

Then I saw you were from phoenix. Carry on.
