2.5L Exhaust/Intake Gasket Question

I was taking a close look at the exhaust/intake manifolds on my '94 TJ (2.5L), and noticed the gasket looked like it was not on correctly. It looks like it loops up between the #2 and #3 cylinders, above the exhaust manifold bolts. I attempted to take a good clear picture of it, but my photography skills do not seem up to the task, but here's a shot anyway.

Is the gasket supposed to look like this, or was it put on incorrectly?

If the bolt holes line up, it is on right. A little overlap as shown is normal.
