2.5l Canada engine...any ideas?

Hi yall,

I own an 88 Wrangler, the 2.5l Canadian modell (and to make it more confusing, I am from Germany).

Anyway, my car has about 105 hp (that's DIN hp, dunno how much that is in SAE). Usually, 2.5s for the German market come with 120 hp (again, DIN).

Does anybody know what modifications keeps my car from being "full blown"? OK, I am hoping it is just a switch that needs to be flicked but I guess that is a little too optimistic...

I'm assuming your looking for more power, so first buy a K&N filter <if available> then remove your air restrictor <a "venturi" in the upper portion of the air box> it'll bang out with a screw driver and a hammer....
also you if you can, find a 4.0L throttle body, and slap that puppy on there with a Throttle body spacer, ,voila.....super cheap, and more power, of course after all that, exhaust mod's would bring out more power, but that's for you to play with......
