2.5 will crank no start please help.
I've been having problems starting when cold. I thought I had it fixed after a new fuel pump, filter and pressure regulator. But yesterday while running around 60mph down the interstate the motor died. I've checked the relay, by putting the horn relay in it's spot. Numbers all matched. I pulled the pump again but it's running fine. I couldn't hear it in the tank. I'm getting voltage from the #6 pin on the ECU. I've looked at the only schematics I have and the only things I can see the might be holding me out is the EGR/Canister purge solinoid & the B+ Latch Relay. Where is the purge solinoid located? The book says front left of shock tower but I sure didn't see it.... Any other ideas? Please help and sorry for the long post.

Have you checked for a good signal from the Crank Position sensor?

I'm getting spark just nothing at the fuel pump. I put a multi meter on the fuel pump connection at the tank, no voltage. I'm lost here....... |

could be a corroded wire, had and issue once with my jeep, it would run great one day then cut off while driving, found that it was a corroded connection where the fuel pump hooks up to the wire harness...could wiggle it and make the jeep die, anyways used some butt connecters and shrink tube and fixed the prob....check to see if you got voltage on the wire harness side of the connecter. good luck man

Just went through all wiring from the pump back to the power distribution box then over to the ECM no luck. Have tried going through the senors but need to know which ones would keep the fuel pump from running.

Need more help here. I've spent all day working on my jeep. I have no spark and no fuel. The crank position sensor was found to be bad, new one didn't change much. I then started looking at spark. Yesterday (monday) I saw a spark on the side of the road, now there isn't a spark. The rotor button was screwed up the contact that goes to each pug was sideways and burnt up. Placed a new one on still no spark. Still no voltage at the fuel pump either. Is my PCM dead? What does the PCM cost?

Have you check all the fuses after all that work? Check wiring harness connection at the fire wall. |

Anybody know if the camshaft sensor will keep it from firing? Or how to test the cam sensor? I can't find a test for it.

On my 1995 4.0L I found the wire from the fuel pump relay had come lose under the fuse box. I think it's a green wire with a red stripe. My jeep would shut down after hitting a bump, and often wouldn't start cold or hot.

It's the wrong year, but when my ECU died I replaced mine from a 1992
