1995 yj 2.5 engine runs rough above 2k rpms when cold

My 95 yj ' s 2.5 engine is running rough when I drive it cold above 2k rpms. It just started doing this yesterday after a trip to hollister hills svra. I did go through a but of mud and water but I can't figure out what's wrong. Any ideas or thoughts are much appreciated I'm a broke college student so I'm trying to avoid taking it to a shop to find and fix the problem.

Forgot to add that by rough I mean the power jumps and it lurches/surges in power is the best way I can describe it.

I have the same engine and I had the same problem. It ended up being throttle position sensor. And temp sensor and it cleared up. Been 6 months still nothing. Who knows if that's your problem. But I just figured I'd put my .02 in for ya

Cheap. I think I spent 50 or so at advance with a lifetime replacement. Good luck. Post back if you figure it out.
