A little help? Engine? Carb versus fuel injection? If carb - any clue as to OEM or aftermarket and which aftermarket might be on it?

If it smells like raw gas, you've got a leak. Use your nose to find it. Likely locations are:

Lines on top of gas tank
Connections to the fuel filter
Connections to the fuel pump (for carb models)
Connection to the carb/throttle body
Charcoal canister/vapor recovery lines
Also check for the smell of gas in the engine oil, which could mean a bad fuel pump (for carb models)

And last but not least, bad or loose gas cap. That one happened to me. I smelled gas for a couple of days after a fillup. Found that I had not put the gas cap back in place properly. Telltale signs of gas running down.

As well as the roll over valve in the rear passenger corner

I had the fuel filter line wiggle almost all the way off on mine. That may not be a bad place to start
