I bought a Jeep that some one had went to the trouble of getting a latch from a car and installing it. You know the one with a cable that you got to pull that is inside the vehicle. He put it inside on the passenger side so you never would have thought to look there if you wanted to get hood open.

There is a lock sold that fits in the grill area. It works by locking the hood release lever . They were initially made for the CJs in the 70s and are still sold today and work fine on the YJs. Quadrateck should have them.

I use the hood lock that Old4x mentioned. It's simple as can be to install and you can usually find them under $20. My buddy drilled a couple of holes and ran a cable lock he had lying around. Mine's cleaner and quiet but the ghetto redneck of his is more fun in conversations and well, free!
