1990's Olympic Editions

So in 1992 Jeep did an Olympic Edition and it carried over at least into the 1993 Year model. I even found the newspaper article describing the new model so I have that as a pic attached. Along with a pic of the jeep. I need to replace the decals they are cracked, trapping water and making rust spots....I have also attached the original build sheet don't think that will help but at least I could find the article to prove the build style.

U wanting to stay oem or aftermarket? a full body wrap after fixing the rust issues will last a long time

I finally have information on the Jeep. Danielle from the FCA(Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) Historical Services (http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/index.html) was very helpful in identifying the article above. The information contained came out of an internal Chrysler news letter. Turns out this was a short run of around 250 vehicles. Also a shout out to George at Morris 4x4 Center (http://www.jeep4x4center.com/) who actually saw one years ago at a jeep/car show. I will continue to press on to get more history working on at tracking down the dealer that delivered it in Portland. I do know that it was ordered at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado in 1993.
So based on this information. I am going to get the decals remade for when the tub comes off and we repaint. I will be keeping it white as well. If you run across one reach out to them and you can contact me via a PM.

a body wrap is the way to go....

putting on 'decal's will be a big mistake... unless they are freaking perfectly installed... and then, I would probably wait until the decal cures then apply a sealer coat/clear coat on top...

Thanks for the sealer idea. I have a really good decal guy used him before nice work used him before on other builds outside of the jeep world.

Only 250 made?

Think of what that jeep will be worth in another 20 years if you keep it in good condition and stock, decals and all.
I certainly would keep it out of the salt. Find all the documentation you can and keep it in a folder.

I might be shopping for a TJ now while I pull the tub. I have everything spray sealed underneath but it needs more love. I was thinking TJ for winter YJ for Summer....

Give these guys a call I believe they are the people that make the replacement OEM decals for islander, sahara etc. Its a longshot but who knows

I did contact several dealers in Portland where it was delivered. Finally got a parts guy who has been in the biz for 20+ years. None of the dealers that were there then are there now and no luck on the graphics guys so far. Its in the shop for now getting a broke shock mount replacement the driver side should be fun with the fuel line right there...so the history search will move to the back burner.
