I just bought a '94 from someone - do I need to call that # and have them send me something?

my parking brake sucks big time - will this resolve it's "holding power"??

The recall is for the parking brake releasing on its own. Its happend to me a few times in my driveway, so needless to say i don't use it anymore.

DC should send you a letter sometime in the near future, but instead of waiting around, you can call them at 18008531403 and get a confirmation number or somthin to bring to the dealership. itd probably be a wise idea to have your title/VIN handy when you call. lets get our new e-brakes boys! hehe

Does the recall apply to just manual transmissions?

I would say that it includes both cause the letter says

"1990 through 95 jeep wrangler vehicles."

and mentions nothing about whether its manual or automatic.

So probably all models of the jeep wrangler of those years

I would also guess all... Just because an auto has Park and such, doesn't mean that the parking break works correctly... they are the same model in all of the YJ's...

I was might be wrong quan, I heard that it was only the 4 bangers but about 10 min ago I read that guys with 6 cycs were getting it repaced to. Might want to stop by a dealership and have them look it up.
